Turkey is a blessed land with so much to offer for every tourist. People are very welcoming and hospitable to everyone irrespective of race and color. The best way to kick off your journey is to land Istanbul which is knows for very crafty mosques that counts to almost over 3000 in numbers.
Taksim Square should be one’s accommodation place as it lives in the heart of Istanbul and very lively 24/7. You will find the hustle and bustle of the foreigners around no matter what time to set your foot in at this vary place. Transportation is pretty simple as the underground metro runs through every major spot in this city of life. By the way, Cabs are not that expensive too. Food around Istanbul is very open in range from 5 Lira upto 30 35 Liras. One must try ‘Adana Kebap’ served hot with rich green salad and typical tota rice of Turkey.
Things to experience and your eyes should see in Istanbul:
• Blue Mosque with its all famous minarets
• Appealing Bosphorus Bridge connecting two continents
• Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia
• Trip to Princess Island (Ferries and Cruise leave every 15-20mins to the destination)
• Grand Bazaar & Spice Bazaar
• Galata Tower
• Cruise Tour with traditional Turkish dance
• Malls specially Javahil Mall near Taksim Square (10mins Drive)
• Wander at ever-so-alive Istiklal Street (but beware of pick pockets and scams here)
The closest airport to this destination is Nevsehir and you can easily reach Goreme from Nevsehir airport within 30-40mins drive. The place offers very formidable hotel rates carved into the mountains and are called ‘Cave Hotels. You can walk around the market freely and buy lots of souvenirs from here. Don’t forget to book your ‘Hot Air Balloon ride’ that ranges from 80-100 Euros. This is what you are here to experience at first place. You will get a pick and drop to your hotel in this service. Balloons fly almost every morning at 5-6am depending upon weather conditions. I cannot put this experience into words of taking this balloon flight. The scenic beauty and the sunrise that you will catch from such great height is just incredible. Scary at the same time cause If you are afraid of heights then it would be one hell of a daunting task for you as the balloon goes up to a respectable elevation without any safety equipment’s. Pilot will keep guiding you through the history of these ‘Pigeon Houses’. One must not skip this beautiful spot and sight-seeing. Your camera would love to capture moments here. And yes, don’t forget to get your ‘Flight Certificate’ after the successful landing.
Knows as the home of Turquoise Water and rightly so. Antalya justifies the tag so well as the city is filled with legendary beaches, mesmerizing waterfalls and if you are looking for thrilling water sports then you are at perfect place.
From Para-sailing, deep sea diving to Rafting, Antalya offers spell-binding activities to its inhabitants and tourists. If one is searching for fascinating nightlife then ‘Kemar, Antalya’ is the destination as it is alive and kicking all night long. The city is probably my best pick out of all.
